Farmers?
Ever experience one of those weird times where time seems to be moving slowly because you have a date set but it's moving faster than you realize?
We move in to our new house on 6/16/2017.
South side of our new farm home, showcasing the wrapping three season porch.
Who knew we'd find adventure wrapped in coziness across the St Croix in WI? I sure didn't!
12 acres of land. A barn. A chicken coop, pig barn, corn crib. Two machine sheds. A garage.
Jess has always wanted chickens. Well her dreams about to come true!
If I've said it once, I've said it a million times, I have some learning to do! I'm excited to get on my property. A place we can call our own and shape the landscape to our needs and wants.
I would like to focus more on dog sport space, even working towards a boarding/competition/training facility.
It's going to be a busy summer. Connecting with our property while juggling work.
That's the first step, understanding and determining our goals. We need to plan and schedule, maintaining communication and celebrating accomplishments.
A tendency I have is over doing it with tasks, rushing implementation, preventing completion. Thoughtful planning will ensure I have what we need to get the job done.
I've been watching and reading all things related to homesteading over the past month and there's still so much to take in.
Finding things that I hadn't initially thought about, like fencing, will take more planning and time. I plan on utilizing this place to write about our experiences and situations.
If I have time ;)
