Hey spring 2019! We can’t wait to see what this year brings for The Walnut Hill Farm! There are a lot of things we want to accomplish this year…
Here’s our 2019 goal round up!
Barn Roof - Get a quote on the roof. We noticed the barn leaking this year and if we want to keep it standing we need to make sure the roof is leak proof! When we picked up Jorge we met an awesome couple who actually roofed their own barn. We are hoping to work with them to get a plan in place on finishing ours. We need to roof what’s left and then have the whole thing looked at to make sure its done well enough to keep water out.
Granary Roof - Price out the granary roof. Yes... this one is leaking as well. Wha-wow. The bright side of all this is that we are getting closer and closer to leakless roofs! This one will most likely be close to the same cost as the chicken coop so we kind of know what to expect with this one.
Clean Up! - Our biggest focus this year will be cleaning up around the farm! We are working on getting our pastures to be “healthier” for livestock and more usable. There are buildings that need to be cleaned out. The coop needs a paint job. So. Many. Things. Plenty to keep us busy but also give us some real good fuzzy feels as we can really see the progress we make!
